Summer Love (Original Single) by Ceyeo is a mix of modern R&B and Hip-Hop with old school samples from the likes of Ma Rainey. It is a fresh song with 80s vibes that gives you a jazzy vibe from the masterful playing of the saxophone. The lyrics of this track are simple yet meaningfully relatable because it’s summer time and let’s have some fun. To get the old-school feel, ceyeo sampled Ma Rainey’s 1927 classic ‘Blues Oh Blues. He also added a recording of students at Cornell University during the New Years Party from 1897 (a 125 year old audio sample!) which really opens up the soundscape and adds a legacy feel. I personally enjoyed this track and it gives an amazing soulful feeling that is refreshing and energizing, you should definitely give it a listen.
